The National Cadet Corps wing at GDC Poonch is dedicated to fostering a spirit of discipline, character, and selfless service among our student body. By providing rigorous training and leadership opportunities, the college prepares volunteer cadets to meet the challenges of national service with excellence.

Currently, the college hosts an Artillery/Infantry Wing with an authorized strength of 90 cadets. To support our volunteers, prescribed NCC uniform kits are provided by the institution at no cost. Admissions are strictly processed on a provisional first-come, first-served basis through the office of the NCC coordinator.

Enrollment Protocols & Compliance

To maintain the standards of the Corps, the following regulations are strictly enforced:

Application: Enrollment forms are issued exclusively by the NCC Officer and are free of charge.
Training Mandate: Every cadet is required to complete forty parades (two hours each) per academic session.
Attendance: A minimum of 75% attendance at scheduled parades is mandatory for eligibility in certificate examinations.
Residential Training: Enrolled cadets must successfully participate in at least one specialized training camp.
